Post any progress with pumps and advanced dupe?
It would be so awesome if the resource pumps were able to keep their links after advanced duplicating them. It's kind of odd that every other entity is able to keep its links after advanced duping.

What's so different about the pumps?

Jeremydeath's E2 Create Wire Functions gave me an idea.

Code:
AddCSLuaFile('createlink.lua')

registerFunction("createLink", "e:e", "n", function(self,args)
   local op1, op2 = args[2], args[3]
   local rv1, rv2 = op1[1](self,op1), op2[1](self,op2)
   if(!validEntity(rv1) or !validEntity(rv2)) then return 0 end
   if(!isOwner(self, rv1) or !isOwner(self, rv2)) then return 0 end

   local Node = rv1
   local Pump = rv2

   if (CLIENT) then return end

   Pump:SetNetwork(Node.netid)
   Pump.node = Node

   return 1
end)

in E2:
Code:
NodeEnt:createLink(PumpEnt)

And it works. Make an if duped() -> timer -> above command and you should be set.

Heh, suddenly I thik someone havent seen myy gate2 functions I have ben making for some weeks. They are posted on facepunch and in mcbuilds forums (updates ore frequently in mcbuilds). Got link, pump, weld, nocollide and such. the link is ued for connecting pumps to node, while pump is for connecting pump to pump.

There is link to mcbuilds forum there, but at he momenntf this post, it seems it is down. Mybe is up when you read it though.

EDIT:
My computer lags so that typing goes messy, due to me copying my whole harrdrive from my old computer to this one:P

You mention getting this on the SVN. The E2 author has strict rules against having things that can affect the "physical" world. Maybe you can get a page on here:

http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Wire_Expression2:Unofficial_Addons

Function "link", I wonder why something like that wasn't already available in RD3? That would cut a lot of duplicated code out of the link tools.

For checking that CAF is available:
Code:
if not CAF or not CAF.GetAddon("Resource Distribution") then return end

Found that in spacebuild2_modelpack, "sbep_hab_mods.lua".

Yeah, snake have helped me alot, as I said facepunch aint updated, I update on mcbuilds and then at some points copy all text to facepunch XD.
I could make a thread here about it tho, and I guess I go update the fp thread now, tho I cant do it the regular way (mcbuilds is down for some reason :P).

In the rd3 part all I need help with is unlink. It just wont work for some reason...

EDIT:
I updated fp thread.
